RISE Across America
A Walk of Remembrance and Responsibility
RISE Across America is a cross-country walk led by Prison 2 Praise Ministries to honor survivors of crime and the often-unseen survivors, children of incarcerated parents. This initiative exists to acknowledge the irreversible harm caused by violence and to call our nation toward healing rooted in accountability, memory, and responsibility. This is not a rally, a performance, or a publicity event. It is a deliberate act of remembrance and a public commitment to doing better.
Why This Walk Exists
Survivors of crime live with lasting consequences that are often misunderstood, minimized, or mishandled by systems and communities meant to help. Too often, harm is followed by silence, pressure to forgive, or expectations to perform healing for others. Children of incarcerated parents carry a unique and frequently overlooked burden. They did not commit the crime. They were not sentenced by a court. Yet…
